Default Dyno prices

About a week ago, I went to a local Dyno Dynamics dyno ( Dyno Dynamics is apparently the lowest reading dyno in the industry--the guy told me alot of people leave pissed off!!)---got 2 actual runs in (one was a calibration run) was supposed to get 3--for $100, which didn't include any AFR datalogging!! The same place charges $250/hour not including tuning. Needless to say I am probably not going back. I found another facility (out of state In CT about the same distance from me as the Dyno Dynamics place is) called ICS Performance---they have an AWD Dynojet and charge $125/hr which includes AFR logging. I have an appt. for 1 hour tomorrow and was curious if anyone has ever dealt with these guys before. ICS Performance, Stamford CT.

$125-175 is the usual rate per hour with basic tuning(fuel pressure, cam gear, timing)
Any engine management tuning, I'm sure it can be a bit more depending on the type of EMS, if base map needed, etc.

Yeah, that price I put above is just for the dyno time, I think tuning was $75 more an hour.

It varries but it's around that rate, alot of shops will also set a flat rate for certin things, as they can crank them out faster.

example is they might do 125hr tuning but charge a "bolt on" tune for 250 flat, bolt on tuning probbly taking them 1 1/2 or less and it'll still be a good tune. Sometimes itll wind up being 4 hours or something though and stinks for the tuner.
