What tires should I get?
The proper 15" size for your car is 195/50-15, and the Avon Tech M500 isn't available in that size. Other than that, they're all decent tires. Here's how they rank in performance:
1. Kumho Ecsta SPT
2. Dunlop Direzza DZ101
3. Fuzion ZRi
Here's how they rank in price for 195/50-15, which is the proper 15" size for your car:
1. Kumho Ecsta SPT $50-51
2. Fuzion ZRi $51
3. Dunlop Direzza DZ101 $57
Best performance and best price makes it a no-brainer...

Im going to be putting these on my weekend car. I dont drive it to often, except during the summer. I will be taking it to nurburgring in the summer also. So Im looking something corner friendly, with good grip. I wont be using them in the snow, and not to much in the rain unless there is a sudden downpour. Im looking to spend at most $65 a tire. Thanks

In that case...just spend a $7 per tire more and get some RT-615 Azenis.
They're only $72 per tire at VulcanTire.com = 205/50/15

If you want something stickier, I would get the Goodyear F1 GS-D3. It comes in the proper 15" size for your car, 195/50-15, so it won't mess with the accuracy of your speedometer/odometer like an oversized tire will. It's more expensive, but it will last 2-3 times longer than the Azenis (25-40K miles vs 10-12K miles), so the price per mile is less. And it's much better in rain.
for under $65 per tire you have the same choices you listed above except for the Yokohama avs es 100. but you are still better off with the Kumho spt in that money for $51 a tire a great deal unless you want to spend $91 a tire for the Goodyear F1... the choice is yours...

What you really want is some good summer tires for your car. (I assume you don't have to worry about driving on snow, given your location.) Unfortunately, the really good summer tires don't come in your stock 185/70-14 size. The one good choice is the Yokohama ES100, which is available in 205/60-14. The ES100 offers very good dry traction, excellent traction in rain, and it lasts a long time (25-45K miles). That size is slightly smaller in diameter than your stock size (by 2.1 percent), so it will make your speedometer and odometer read higher than actual by this small percentage. But other than that, they should fit okay and they will give you the best performance you can get for your car and its 14" wheels.
If you're looking for more tire choices and/or better performance, you might want to consider getting a set of wheels with a bigger diameter.

Thanks for replying nxstasy. so from what you have said YokohamaES100 is the best choice for me now just that the speed on my speedometer will show higher speed than the actual speed if i install ES100? if i am considering changing a set of wheels what type (brand/sizes) would u recommend with which type of tires? how much would it cost me if i am changing these 2 sets(wheels/tires)? i am looking into good traction (summer&rain) /quiet ride/ corner friendly cause i don't really concern about the time it will last appox 10-20k will be enough for me.So if i am not changing the wheels ES100 is the best choice? Once again Thanks for the advice Appreciate it alot nsxtasy.

Yup.

Here are some recommended choices with larger wheels, along with prices PER TIRE (from the Tire Rack):
15" wheels - size 195/60-15 - Yokohama ES100 $79
16" wheels - size 205/50-16 - Kumho SPT $70, Goodyear F1 GS-D3 $114
17" wheels - size 205/45-17 - Kumho SPT $86, Bridgestone Potenza RE050A $147
The outer diameter of all of these sizes is within one half of one percent of your stock tires, so none of them will throw off your speedometer by more than that tiny percentage.
There are LOTS of choices of summer tires for the 16" and 17" sizes (as many as a dozen or more in each size); these are just a few suggestions. The Kumho SPT is similar to the Yokohama ES100, with very good dry traction, excellent in rain, and excellent treadwear. The Goodyear and Bridgestone tires mentioned here are even better than the ES100 or SPT, both dry and wet, but as you can see they are more expensive. All of these tires should last you 25-40K miles.
Bottom line recommendation: if you weren't planning on getting bigger wheels anyway, I would probably just get the Yokohama ES100 in 205/60-14 and save the money by not buying new wheels.
Yup.

I vote for the G-force Sports. I have them on my GTI right now and love them. Not one complaint. They do well in the dry and wet, very stable on the highway in the rain.
