Aite my girlfriend has a 2000 that was given to her by her sister. The car has 59,XXX on the car and sometimes when it is started it will die right away. Her sister told her about this problem and she said you have to rev the motor for about couple of mins and it would be fine. The mantaince light is flashing but does anyone know what is wrong with the car ??

no it just dies right at start up and it turns off but when u turn it on again u have to step on the gas and rev it for like 5 minz and then it would be fine but yea its a v6 couple automatic
After starting it, hold the ignition key back a bit and do not let it return to its normal position -- just enough so the starter does not grind. Did that prevent a stall? If it did, you have a defective ignition switch -- the ELECTRICAL part behind ignition key.
It's not too difficult to replace.
