Opinions......B18C1 swap in my coupe or just get a GSR
Just looking for some opinions. I really like the GSR for it's refinement but I'd have fun with a swap in my coupe now and it's a tad lighter than an Integra.
Anyways, I beleive there's pros and cons to both but I'm willing to hear everyones opinion.
Don't tell me to "get an EK" I've already considered that and it's something I don't want to do.
Thanks,

Well I own a GS-R so I will throw in my two cents. It is a great car. I bought it using the money that I got from selling my 1999 Mitsubishi Eclipse RS. I was looking for a sporty two door coupe with a 5 speed, but the RS was weak. They only dyno at 110 hp to the wheels and the weight about 100 lbs more than a GS-R. With the GS-R I get about 40 more horsepower and a slight weight reduction. Talk about a difference! This thing feels fast. Now bear in mind that is because I am coming from a 2 gen non-turbo Eclipse. Had I owned a GS-T before that it might be different.
Now from your point of view you have a slightly lighter, but gutless car. I know the feeling. Your immediate impression of the GS-R will be very favorable. It is a great engine and pulls strong. My best time at the drag strip with it with just an intake is
15.6 @ 90 mph. However I always wish for something with the same engine that only weighed about 2500lbs.
I think having a hatchback or a coupe with this engine in it would be a blast. Probably the most fun, and fairly low maintenance thing to do and still have a reliable daily driver would be the B18C1 in your EX with I/H/E, mild cams and an V-AFC. With all of that and some tuning if you could get the hp to around 170 hp up from 150 hp it would be awesome. Enough to keep you competative with
the Mustangs, but not assassinate your savings account.
Just my .02

I have a 96 EX w/ B18C hitting 14.9@94 spinning through 1st. I race gs-r's on the freeway and they ask me if my B18's supercharged =D I say go hybrid unless you just want the status of owning an acura.
I say go hybrid unless you just want the status of owning an acura.
Swap the bitch, burn the stock GSR's on the track and represent it all in a civic
