GSR vs Type R?
Is a GSR that much slower then a Type R? I wanna sell my civic Si b16a2, for either a GSR or a type R. This kid with a GSR wants to do a trade and some cash. Should i do it? How much faster is the GSR compared to the Civic SI?
if u can drive good, you can easily hit high 14s with some bolt ons. A GSR is an all around better car than the civic si. The .2 of a litter is all the difference. A gsr compared to an ITR. The ITR will own a GSR all over the place.

GSR vs SI,I personally would rather have the GSR.
As for the ITR vs.GSR,there is no comparison.Sure it is faster in a straight line, but the handeling, braking and more agressive gearing make it a whole lot more fun to drive.

Which one is faster.... my 94 GSR vs 2000 SI.... 1 1/2 cars off the launch in 1st gear.... 4-5 cars after 3rd gear..... GSR vs ITR is the same thing like a GSR vs SI...
the ITR was produced to be a factory race car ready for track...there are a lot of differences between the ITR and GSR. the costs to get a GSR to an ITR spec will be way over your head...so best bet is to get the ITR!!!
here's a link that might be helpful to understand the R a little better...
http://itrca.com/faq/index.asp (go to general ITR info, then Type-R spotter's guide)
by the way there isn't a better FF handling car out there...

GSR vs. Si stock for stock really is a drivers race. As far as I've encountered, I win a couple and lost a couple. However since GSR has extra 0.2 liters its a little easier to squeez power out of as well as break into the 14's with. Handling and braking, ect, gsr and si are about the same IMO.
Neither compare to an R and to make them even close to as good as a stock type R, you mines well buy a type R.

Just remember having an R in NY there are going to be thieves gunning for your car.
Buy mine and I'll deliver it to you
95 GSR's had the best ecu...you'll get the best times off of those stock. still best bet...go with the R -- worth the money hands down and the driving experience is like no other!!!
GSR and Si, slight advantage to GSR, not by much. 1.8L is nice though. In your case, you have an Si, so upgrade to the ITR. I have a 2000 Si also, and wish I bought the R. Unfortunately, 2 years ago, I was not aware of the R. If you want a clean R, I have one bit of advice. Be PATIENT. They are out there, just look, do your research and take your time. Like mentioned, there are a few H-T members selling their Rs. At least you know an "older" more mature, one-owner car that has been well maintained. I would try and get a "stock" R. Good luck.
GS-R
Type-R
Si
All nice cars. No one's gonna keep these cars stock, so it really doesn't matter who's faster stock. Its those who have more mods that takes first place. Am i wrong? So get the car that has the most aftermarket support and the car that appeals to you the most.

of course not. But I personally think that all of these cars are good platforms to start out with. The b16a is a good motor and the b18c motors are very nice to work with. I agree that if he wants a track car and auto-x, then the Type-R would be the best to go with. If he wanted a cheaper car that had alot of aftermarket products, the Si would be better for him. If he wanted in somewhat between, a GS-R would do the job right...
I'm juss tryin to give him some ideas...

I have to admit... the type r is the best all around production car made, at least that I've driven in. As far as the straight line goes... I give it to the gsr
...especially the 94-95 obd 1 ... what a difference. I run a 14.67 @101 mph... in a stock 94 gsr... with intake....I also have as a daily drive 2001 Integ gsr... it feels so MUCH slower then my 94. I have 120,000 miles on my 94 too...and it is still runnin strong.
