Wheel/tire noob. Searched. 17 inch wheel help?
A guy is selling 17 inch voxx wheels with nitto 450 205/45/zr17 tires, he is asking $375. Will these wheels work ok on my stock 92 cx? Do I need to worry about the "offset"? How's the price?
Are they 4x100? If so, yeah they will fit. Im guessing the offset is probably 42. Look on the inside of the rim and it will say it. But it really shouldnt matter much unless its like 20 or something.
The wheels might work, but the tires are much too big for your car (a whopping 7.2 percent larger than your stock outer diameter) and will probably rub.
The best 17" tire size for your car is 205/40-17. Even that is too big (3.6 percent larger diameter than stock) but it's the smallest common 17" size available.
On a pre-'96 Civic, you're really much better off not getting wheels larger than 16".

Yeah, I was looking for 16s, but came across this and thought maybe it was a nice deal. Oh well, there's plenty of other places to put the money.
Thanks for your help guys.
