Default Which Carbon Fiber Hood?

just wondering which one was the most functional and which one u think looks the best... OEM, buddy club, or Mugen Style? i am fond of the smooth classic look of an OEM replacement, but i kinda like the buddy club style. has anyone ever had one and if so, did it leak water in and damage anything or what? i've never had anything besides oem. thought i would put it out there.

i have the buddy club style, the fitment was good, not perfect, but thats what you get when you're replacing factory equipment w/ aftermarket. the vent thats in the hood does let water into the engine bay, however it has not done any sort of damage to the engine. the only thing that bugs me is having to clean the valve cover but its not that big of a deal. hope that helps. oh btw i picked the hood up from showstoppersusa, it arrived in about 3 days so i'd recommend them.

Honestly, none of them are all that functional considering they only take off about 8lbs. But if I had to go with one, I'd have to say, go with what you like.

I thought water on a hot engine was a bad thing. Doesn't it potentially crack the block?

^^What he said. Plus, most CF hoods don't save you all that much weight and aren't "true" CF anyways, they just lay it over fiberglass. If it were a true F1 style CF used to make the hood it might be worth the weight savings on the front end, but it would be prohibitively expensive. Plus, CF hoods have some nasty habits in accidents.

they might be played out, but i dig the carbon fiber look. and the carbon fiber on black just seems a little bit of a waste because u cant really see it all that well. carbon fiber on the TW and RR and FB are hawt. so i dunno. thanks for all the input guys
