i would love to get the jdm ones but the cost more that what i have to spend.

Just save for some JDM knock-offs or get some used OEM lights off of ebay.

this may be a dumb *** question but what exactly is retrofiting lights..can someone shed some light.

 

Retrofitting is where you put HID projectors into stock/JDM headlights. It works and looks a lot better than those projectors at the top

yeah, I have some JDM knock offs, and they are great, except I paid like $100 less, cause I feel it's a waste to pay $100 more for the "OMG ITS JDM" look, which is exactly the way they look right now, so yeah.

does the kit make my stock lights look like projector lights...like does it come with a new housing....

 

That kit is part of what you need. Those are just HID lights, which, without the projector, will blind all on coming traffic. Most people use BMW and Audi parts for retrofits

 

so what else do i need to get with this

It was more of an attack on your taste/ability to discern between what is and isn't rice. Nevermind....

I like what I like. if it's rice, who determines what rice is or isn't? who cares? no one.. if it's rice to some people cool, if it's not rice to other people.. cool? don't care, yup.

Rice does have a concrete definition. The acronym R.I.C.E. sums it up pretty well: Race Inspired Cosmetic Enhancement.

Rice is stuff that is non-functional and is usually just done to attract attention.

Yes sir, and if it's rice, then call it rice. I have a CF rear bumper diffuser on my car....that's pretty rice.

u need projectors and u need the actual headlights. u should contact prelude1897 on this forum, he does some pretty good work

I think your totally confused. These headlights are a direct replacement there is no retrofitting involved in this process at all. You just take out the old ones, and put in the new ones that simple.

 

so are you all saying that use to stock headlights and buy projectors to go in the stock headlights...
