What motors do the 96-97 accord LX's have and what motors do the EX's have?

94-97 Accord LX and DX have the F22B2 (2.2L SOHC non-VTEC)

94-97 Accord EX has the F22B1 (2.2L SOHC VTEC)

 

Isnt there a more powerful motor called an H22 something?

 

yep, the H22 came in Preludes. You can swap the H22 or H23 (another Prelude engine) into the Accord.

Take a look at the Accord FAQ and scroll down to swaps, there are some links to motor swaps and head swaps.

Keep in mind, the 94-97 Accord is sometimes referred to as a 5th Gen Accord.

 

Alright, change of subject, are throttle body spacers a bitch to install? Are they really worth it?

shouldn't be hard but I believe the general consensus is that they aren't worth it. I don't have any personal experience with them though.

 

I had one, but I took it out, not worth it IMO
