I own a 99 EM1. everytime I lock my doors, the passenger side lock emits a loud buzzing sound. It has been like that for a year or so and I am finally tired of it and want to fix it. What could it be? I have removed the door panel and nothing looks out of place.

 

It sounds like the actuator is struggling. Take the door panel off and do it. Chances are it's coming directly from the actuator. I'd replace it, if that is indeed the culprit.

 

yeah actuator. umm i dunno if the honda actuators are adjustable like all of the universal actuators. yeah the universal ones and the stock ones are completly different..but if their adjustable try playing around with it until the sound goes away. if their not adjustable then new actuator? most likely their not adjustable..i havent personally seen or played with stock honda door lock actuators, so thats y im saying they may be adjustable..but if not then ur out of luck
