88 CRX Si light weight flywheel????
Hey guys I have been looking around the net as well as this site and keep finding flywheels for the 89+ model year cars.... Whats the deal? Do thes companies have the wrong year? Or is there a differance between the 88, 89, 90, 91? I was under the impression that they all had the same tranaxle in the Si's..
Any help would be great.
Also what is the stock weight of the flywheel on the Si?

88 and 89 use the same flywheel which uses a 200mm diameter clutch - 90-00 uses same flywheel which uses 212mm diameter clutch - 89s can be upgraded to use the 90-00 212mm clutch by getting a new flywheel - 88 clutches are not the same as 89 clutches, although the flywheels are the same - 88s have a different spline count where the clutch disc mates to the transmission - to use the 90-00 flywheel on the 88, you need to get the 90-91 pressure plate, but you need a disc from 88 Prelude 2.0

we have lots of flywheels (we part out cars) and we have them marked for model only and not specific year - we have several that we marked as HF when we took them out of the cars and they all weigh slightly over 15 lbs - all of the DX/Si weigh around 18lbs - we marked them as HF because they were obviously lighter
