Default sohc zc tranny axles..

well we were putting the axles on the car today... da axles zc tranny.. 5 speed.. anyways when we torqued down the end bolts whatever you want to call it the nut that locks the axle.. well once it was tight it didnt let the axles spin anymore.. do you guys know what could be wrong... any ideas.. any expierences

mine did the same. i jus made them a tad bit loose until they spun. havent had any problems jus make sure u push down that lil part of the nut so it wont spin off

6 months. no problems. i jus made them a tad loose not much at all. if you lock the axle nut its not gona come off

Don't do that, that's scary!

Even though this info is in the search, you might not have found it since it's a known issue with b-series swaps, and you can't search DA.

There's some dustrings on the inside of the knuckle to keep debris outside of the wheelbearing area. But since the DA axles are slightly beefier than the Civic ones, they bind on these dust rings. You have to pull the axle out of the knuckle and pry that ring off. In theory it may hurt wheel bearing life, but everyone with a b-series swap and d-series knuckles does it, and you don't hear about failures.
