If you search for turbo'd automatics, you'll find ALOT of information including pro's and con's of doing this. It has been covered hundreds of times.

No, there's a difference. The guy in the post you were referring to was asking what would happen if he turbocharged his automatic. This guy is asking what he needs to do to get his automatic not to crap out if he boosts it.
As far as that goes, I don't know much about automatics...so blah
.

I'd personally do it to a Manual transmission, but that just me. Auto trannys have more slippage than Manual trannys so a anual tranny will be more effiecient taken that it is driven properly.
As far as strengthening the auto trans you will have to get a shop rebuild it for you which is big bucks also installing a shift kit for harder more positive shifts and even a high-stall converter which will make it shift at higher RPMS maximizing turbo-boost efficiency. That's all from what iv'e learned reading books and magazines, somone correct me of im wrong or agree with me

That is what every person in here would do except the op. The op wants to take the route of an automatic transmission for boost. Somebody who knows automatic transmissions well is the only one that can really help here. I personally have wondered what has to be done to "beef" the honda tranny up to a point where it's drivable under hard circumstances.
Everybody can suggest going manual, but it's really up to the op, y'know?

Contact "Level 10" and have them build something custom for high hp/boost applications. Off the shelf, I don't think they have any D-Series products. A guy over @ Team-Integra used Level Ten's upgraded torque converter, external cooler, and a few other parts. They held boost nicely, but the parasitic loss was still horrible. Not to mention the transmisson setup alone costed a few grand. Totally not worth it, in my opinion.

Ahh, when I wondered what I would have to do it was a personal thing involving researching to understand automatic transmissions then researching to figure out what causes automatic honda trannies to crap out quickly under load and leach power opposed to other automatic transmissions. The Chevy Corvette automatic can smoke the 6sp any day with any driver, the reason being is the automatic can shift a shitload faster. That proves untrue for Hondas though.
It's not really that important to me. I was just bringing it up, thanks anyways

Same thing with MK Supras. In a quarter mile, the automatic twin turbo is a hair faster than the manual version.
