Default SI Climate control in 97 ek sedan

my friend said if i go from the stock 97 ek climate control and bezel to the stock SI one i have to change my heater core to a 2000 si also but i also heard that i dont have to tahnks for the help.

No, you do. I've heard people say you just have to replace the bottom blower box, but if you don't replace the entire heater core, then the vents don't line up properly.

u do have to , 96-98 are operated by wire , 99-00 si are by voltage/electric

Yeah, I've done this conversion on mine and you do have to change out the heater core and the blower unit.
