Default Some interior lights are not working.

Ok so I've been driving my Dad's 1995 Accord for the past few weeks and this problem is starting to annoy me. At night, when I turn on the headlights, the stereo works but the display doesn't light up. The stereo buttons light up and I can change the station but the display (where it shows the station etc.) doesn't light up. Also, the A/C controls doesn't light up, along with the shifter lights (P R N D etc.).

Does anyone know what the problem is or what it might be?

Thanks in advance,
Nate

Are you referring to the symbols near the shifter? I don't think my car has ever had those light up, but I could be mistaken.

As to the Radio, if it's stock, it doesn't get brighter it actually dims it, I would check the fuses for the "Backup clock/radio" I think it's under the hood. Also A/C controls has bulbs behind it I"m guessing those have gone bad, I'm dreading replacing mine as well as you have to essentially pull apart everything to get to it

yeah the letters near the shifter, i thought those lit up. i was thinking they were all linked together since they're all so close to each other. like a wire problem or something? maybe a fuse?

There's a tiny little bulb under the floor shifter, where the lamp is located, is common to find the cars with those light already burned and no one ever noticed.
My radio would not light up or flip out with my old battery, the poles were corroded as hell. I put a new battery, clean the polo cables and everything went back to normal.
