dohc zc dizzy making loud squeal
well like always when i start my car for the first time i let it warm up for a few min. but today after it was warmed up i noticed my dizzy making a really high pitched squeal. it first started to do it off and on and after about 2-3 min later it was a constant high pitched squeal and almost sounded like it got louder. any idea on what it could be?
thanks in advance

Its probably the bearing in the dizzy going out
I have in the past took the cap off and used a syringe and put a small amount of oil on the bearing and it would quite it down for awhile but its just a band aid it will fail sooner or later(if this is the problem) to check take the cap off and grab the rotor if you can wiggle it back in forth at all even like 1mm the bearing is bad

Yes, this is the tell-tale sign of the bearings going out in the dizzy. Google search for distributor king to get a good deal on a new one pronto!

thanks for the useful info. wouldn't hurt to run the engine with the distributor how it is would it?
