on the manifold its like threaded and the IAT wont go on....what is the best thing to do? drill the threads out?

 

I had to do this on my intake for my 95 civic ex. I had to block off a few coolent lines since the manifold is for a few different cars, my guess. Any way I just found a drill bit the same diameter as the hhole on the old intake manifold and was careful to drill it out at the correct angle. it wasn't hard but if I had to do it again I think I might go a little smaller on the drill bit size and work up to a bigger one so the IAT just slid in the hole. Hipe this helps.

 

BUMP!!! i am having the same problem with my S2 i/m. do i have to drill out the threaded hole on the S2 I/M where the IAT sensor goes to make it fit ?

Any one have any more info on this problem please CHIME IN !!
