What can I do to lighten my 98 Civic DX

If it's NOT a daily driver bumper supports might be a good option.

Though I got a ticket for driving my friend's M3 w/ no bumpers, I also got a ticket for driving that same friend's hatch with no hatch, doors, or windows.
So I don't know what the law(s) are in your area regarding what panels need to be on your car and such. So I wouldn't recommend it.

Another thing I thought of which might not be much lighter but should be a slight improvement is lightweight pulleys and a lightweight flywheel. They lower your rotational mass quite a bit and it helps

sound deadening material underneath the carpet can add up to a good bit of weight kind of an annoying ride though but it's something that will shave off some weight
Go to the gym and stop eating fried foods. That is the best way to lighten a Civic. Someone on here gutted all the sound deadening in their 95 DX, and they only lost like 50lbs. That's nothing for all the work they put in.

i did this. Buy blocks of dry ice and lay in on the sound deadening material. It will start to crack and pop and get a scraper and start scraping. I would guestimate i lost a good 30-40 lbs.
