skunk 2 pro series intake manifold in a 95 accord with h22a swap
I ordered the skunk 2 pro series intake manifold for an h22 not knowing that the motor sits to far back in the engine bay of the accord for the prelude manifold to fit. Does any one know if there is a different skunk 2 manifold that would fit in my car? The main problem is the fact that the manifolds runners are about 6 inches longer than stock and it will sit on the fire wall and we all know that that cant be good.
I've seen a pic of a 5th generation accord with H22 and a skunk2 intake manifold, and it wasn't touching the firewall.
I guess, you should just waint and see... I doubt you would have problems!

I have actually seen two differnet manifolds from skunk 2 one being the one i have and another which the runners were the same length as stock. There is no way the one i currently have is going to fit unless i bang in my firewall about 6 inches. It is like trying to stick a square through a circle, it aint happening
i have the skunk2 manifold on my accord right now. clearance is tight, it does sit right against the firewall but doesnt really touch, i'd say about an 1/8" to 1/4" clearance, it might hit sometime when the motor torques though, but i havent really noticed it..
im having the same exact problem only that my intake mani is hitting on the brake booster. because when i try to put the hasport driver side mount on i need to push the motor back bout another half inch and i only have bout 1/8 clearance with the mocked stock f22 driver mount. will be taking pics tomorow to see if anyone can help. thanks
are you sure it is hitting the booster itself? i too was under that impression for a minute then i realized it was actually only hitting the throttle cable bracket, i removed it and no more probs...

It would be great if anyone posted the solutions to their problems.
I just installed my H22A with the S2 Pro intake. The intake is made for a Prelude, not the Accord.
Mine came with a kit to relocate the IACV to a remote location. Thus giving me the clearance I needed to slip this baby in. It is tight, the throttle cable is up against it and everything else is clear.
THis went into a 94 Accord EX coupe 5 spd.

Yes, but the IM will not work for his I/H/E setup. He'll need more than what he has to get the potential out of that IM plus a good tuned.
Way to bump a 2 year old thread and post something wrong. It's not RHD. My cruise and brake/clutch reservoirs are in the same spot.
lol you are right I didn't look at the Brake master. I totally got fooled by the Throttle cable coming from that side of the car, I am so used to the look of My engine bay. oops. Anyways still gangster.
This is my engine bay right now but throttle cable is cramped up against the back of the manifold. sorry about the giant photo.
