Anybody ever have there brake light on the gauge cluster just come on for no particular reason??? I do think something happened when I had to slam on my brake cause somebody in front of my just decided to turn with no turn signal and I had to "slam on my brakes" Well after that I noticed that when I make sharp right turns that my brake light on the gauge cluster will come on!!! I still have brake pressure when I put my foot on the brake pedal and the car stops fine. I'm just trying to figure out what can be causing this???

 

mine did this... it's the sensor .. it's either gone bad or you need to reset your parking brake.

just loosen up slack in the e-brake lines(right by the lever) jack up the car in the rear spin the tires and start adding tension via turning the bolt on the ebrake lines.

that fixed my problem

 

Check your brake fluid level

 

the light is controlled by that thing that floats in ur brake fluid reservoir.

When u slammed on the brakes, the sensor must have moved temporarily so u might be a bit low on fluid. if it were full it probably wouldnt have moved the sensor much.
