Default Clutch Noise

I get a grinding noise when I shift it in reverse.

When Im driving in reverse its good. No noise, only when I shift the stick back.

Not with anyother gears.

Try this...press in your clutch, put it first gear first (this will stop the trans from spinning), then put it in reverse. This is the way you are supposed to put it in reverse. Reverse is NOT sincronized in that transmission. If you do not let the transmission stop spinning first (push in the clutch, wait a second, then go to reverse) it will grind going in. This car (transmission) would have made a grind going into reverse right off of the showroom floor if you pushed in the clutch and jammed it into reverse. There is NO problem with your clutch or your transmission. Try it with any other interga or civic...that's proof.

Interesting. I never knew that.

So I have to put it into first then reverse or press the clutch and wait for a second and then reverse?
