well a few weeks ago i shifted from 2nd to 1st instead of 3rd. messed stuff up. sence then i set the timing, new timing belt, new distro, new plugs, new wires,.... runs good now jut a lil sputter from probably 1 or 2 bent valves...... no biggie.. gonna change head soon..... but it runs fine.... well!!!!!!!!!!!

i was driving down the road doing around 60ish and it jerked a lil like i hit fuel cut but it kept going.... then probably qt mile later it did it again and all my cluter lights came on..... car died.... pulled over......turn car off......turn key turns over, all valves i hear it all turning over.. but does not crank up...... i can let the car sit.... tap the gas 32409583045 times and boom it cranks up then died instantly..... cranked up for a few sec but i let out on the cluch it died right again...

what could be the problem?
1.messed up head
2. fuel fiter
3.fuel line
4.injector
5.fuel pump
6. something besides fuel issue?

i have been reading up. about fuel pump and so forth. seems it might be that.

where is my main relay and fuse to the fuel pump? it might not be priming and that could be a main reason

 

It could possibly be a sensor that is dead on your vehicle. Hook up a scanner and get some DTC's. Possible sensors can be a MAF or MAP, cam or crank position sensor. Try upplugging the sensors and seeing if your car can run without it plug as the ECM should give a default setting for the sensor sinces its upplugged. If you already bent valves and it still runs then that shouldn't be the problem unless u are still accerlating hard and make the valves worst then they are. But a bent valve would just have an engine crank over but not start.

 

What kind of distributor did you put on? Why did you replace the dizzy?

I replaced my OEM with a Dist King dizzy & had issues until it finally took a **** on me. I swapped back to my OEM one & my problem went away.
