hey guys...my brother has a 1998 Honda Civic hatchback...i believe its the DX model ...

just earlier when he stepped on the brakes...we noticed that none of the brake lights would light up in the rear... we then tried to change the fuse...is it the tail light fuse? we tried that and it wasnt blown...the tail lights will light up but once u step on the brakes...it doesnt react at all..BRAKE Lights are dead someHOW? is there another fuse somewhere? please help guys...were trying to avoid the cops....

 

have you tried to replace the bulbs?

And why were you trying to avoid the cops? Is the car stolen?

 

no1 else is helping out at this point, its obvious you didnt search but what the hell.. check if your horn works, if it doesnt its the brake light/horn fuse. if it does work, then its either the brake switch, or a wiring issue. its uncommon for all 3 brake light filaments in the bulbs to go out at once, but hey i have seen stranger things.

 

no the car isnt stolen...when i said were trying to avoid the cops...we mean that its late and dark...and if we drive without brake lights...the cops will pull us over and give us a fixing ticket...thats the last thing we want right now....is cops harassing us import owners...but yea the horn doesnt work...so ima try to find where that fuse is...thanks bro.....

 

hey bro...thanks alot..ur right...it was the HORN/STOP fuse in the engine bay fuse box....i tried to look for few hours and couldnt find anything....sorry that i dont know much bout these things yet...thanks again and for being fast....peace
