Just wanted your opinion on this subject. RSX oil filter in B series motors
I'm not sure if this has been posted before, so I apologize if it has.
I was reading some posts in ClubSi and read a post about putting on an RSX filter on a B16A motor. it does fit right into the filter mount. The filter is smaller, so that would lead to more preasure, which i guess would be better for hard driving and track days. See this also

What do you guys thik safe or not?

I thought I read somewhere on HT that a smaller filter meant less filtering, don't quote, mainly because I am not sure if it was about a RSX filter, but it was about a smaller filter...
i tried it , didnt like it , didnt seem to want to rev as much
spoke with some people about bearing wear and too MUCH oil pressure , figure the honda engineer's would make sure that the B16 carries ample oil pressure stock
went back to the stock filter , seems to like it fine

My understanding is that the smaller filters don't actually raise oil pressure, but rather reduce the fluctuations between pressures going in and out of VTEC...
mike k has all the numbers tested with both filters , theres a RISE in pressure all the way across the board
