Default True or False

I herd from someone today that its not good to leave a car outside when its cold and on a very low tank of gas.

Is this true or false?

Cold being below freezing.

why would you want to have a very low tank of gas in the first place. im sure it doesn't help the car but maybe he thinks the gas will freeze or something. i guess you gotta know the freezing point of gas?

the freezing point of gasoline is well below 100 degrees farenheit....but if there is water in the gas then that is a different story

I've had a car with some water in the tank pack the fuel filter with ice crystals. The level of the tank doesn't matter, as water will sink to the bottom.
