I bought an engine from him on 11/20/06 and gave him the same address that I give every one for shipping. Weeks go by and no engine. Then he replies that he doesn't have the time to ship it so his brother will ship it for him. More days go by and nothing. Then he tells me that he had to separate the block and head to ship and that his brother only shipped the block. After that still nothing. He tells me he didn't get a tracking number so more weeks pass and still nothing. I finally get a reply and come to find out that they had returned it to him saying invalid address and that he couldn't reship because of work. He said he would give me a full refund and even more days go by and nothing. By this time, 1 1/2 months have passed. I finally became fed up and filed a claim on PayPal. He replied on there telling me that he could reship but by this time I had already found another engine(in fact, I even had it already installed in the car) and I just needed my money back and he said that was OK. The claim went on and on and no money or replies so i escalated it. They decided in my favor but he has no money in his bank account...so I *still* don't have MY money back.

I started saving the conversation when i realized it was heading south:

i already found one putting it in tommrow dont need it anymore since you told me that you wouldnt ship that you would ive me a refund i had to get my car back up on the rd so i found on local that i wouldnt have to ship

i should have you money soon the guy still hasnt payed me for the car..i just barely got on the net today ...if he doesnt give me the money soon imma going to take him to court..and if i dont get it by the first imma try to ship the motor again express mail

did u use ur CC through paypal or did u transfer the funds from your bank account? your CC company may be able to help you.

i hate douches like the guy youre dealing with...

 

i used my debit card through paypal

 

and you debit card goes through you bank correct? if so, just go to you bank and tell them your story. you will then get you money back but then your paypal account will be in the negatives. i've been down this road before too. good luck though.

hope you get ur money back man.. start talking to ur bank and paypal.. see what you can do.. im pretty sure u can get it back

 

bank is a bust they couldn't do it paypal is hocked into my bank acct directly instead of being through my debit card so i will be calling paypal and see what i can do to speed it up i wish the guy would just be a man and refund my money like he said he would
