Repairing an A pillar, how?
I hope this is the right forum for this.
2002 Honda Civic EX - the driver side a-pillar is dented fairly badly (on the outside of course)....... If you cant PDR it, how do you fix it, since it appears the whole panel is welded to the unibody and not bolted on?
Thanks!

You can used a stud gun, I think they are crap personally...
There is an alternative to them, they are called "dent masters". They can be found at body shops and auto body supplies.

What??
You think stud guns are crap? Then you must have used a crappy one or dont know how to use it...a stud gun is probably the most used item here besides the dolly/spoon and hammer to get out decent dents.
If that "dent master" is the thing im thinking of (paintless dent removal thing that you glue on?) you will never get a dent out of a A pillar. A pillars have layers to them, and sometimes foam inside them. Your best bet if its a pretty nice dent is to take it to a body shop. If its unrepairable then they will have to replace or section the part. When you get into structural parts of the car (which a a-pillar is) you dont want a shady job. Something such as putting the wrong foam in if it has foam in there (using structural foam where pillar foam should be) could totally change the crumple zones in a wreck.
