VTEC malfunction

Default vtec malfunction

I have a 99 honda accord, when reving to 4000 rpm getting misfires, plugged it in and i got vtec malfunctions ..any ideas what could have caused this ??

First of all it's "vtec"
Second of all you need to check your oil level

Probably a malfuntion of the v-tech....l.o.l.

No seroiusly, if what ever you used to read the problem gave you a code-post it up. I got a program that I can use to look check out that code in a better defenition.

Mine is, but I cant play w/ it because of this damn weather.

if oil level is OK check the solenoid.

also you should spray some brake cleaner in the the vtec solenoid to clean out any sludge that might have been accumulated
