the only civic that ever came with a B16A3 was the 1994 "Honda Civic Del Sol Vtec"
In 1995 the del sol was no longer a civic!
the 1995 "Honda Del Sol Vtec" had a B16A3
and the 1996 and 1997 "Honda Del Sol Vtec" had a B16A2's
The 1993's never had a vtec model..

I have seen a local selling a b16 out of an EK4 and he called it an a3. But I do admit that I have never seen a b16a3 stamp. Let me check my EG real quick to see if it says a2 on it...Keep the info coming so we can all learn
Edit: my EG6 just said B16 on it

all part numbers are the same for all internals... in head and block..
few sensor are different for the cars they same in but that don't do anything

No, it's wrong.
The only USDM vehicle that ever came with an engine stamped "B16A3" was the '94-95 del Sol VTEC. The B16A3 is OBD-1 only; the del Sol VTEC engine was stamped "B16A2" when Honda switched to OBD-2 in 1996.
