Default Tiny scratches on headlights

i was spray painting my valve cover and when i was spraying i didnt pay attention to a set of civic headlights that was laying kind of close to the valve cover. Well the overspray got onto the headlights. So i decided to use a scuff pad and wet sand it off which was a bad idea..it left alot of tiny scratches on the headlight. These are the jdm eg hatch headlights. So now im wondering, is there anyway to remove those small tiny scratches IE: buffing or something?

wet sand with a polishing compound should work fine but those kits in the foil pouches are preety much that... but then again they can be found in walmart and adavance auto and i've heard great things about them

for me it would be better getting the kit since it would cost more for me to individually buy everything.
