You answered your own question.
You answered your own question.
either he cut them or didnt put them back in (my guess) I have made the mistake of not using the bump stops and withen 2 weeks my sturts where blown. And i had a set of sprint springs on my civic hatch for like two years They where nice riding springs but they set the car way to low and i had theproblem of bottoming out......If you didnt put the bump stops back in you might wanna tear it all back apart and do so. itll help with the bottoming out and help you sturts last longer

Horribly bad.
A few months from now he's going to be a living bobblehead.
I'd put some decent aftermarket shocks on ASAP. I had my car lowered 1.25" and they were blown in less than a year.

First of all I hope you don't have a 6 cyl w/ 4 cyl springs! If you do have the 4 cyl the thing I used to do at our shop with such a large drop was to cut away the very top of the front inner fender well(under the hood) next to the strut mounting location, You'll see a little rubber button (about 1/4 large) This will be your pilot hole to cut the top off with a 3" hole saw or a sawzall (do not cut more/past than the seam sealer) this will allow the control arm to have a little more travel, If you don't do this your uppper ball joint will seperate from your control arm, and Honda does not sell this part seperate. Also if you try to use a camber kit you'll run into more problems like your control arm smashing on the inner fender well seam. My advise to guys like you was to raise the car and have a better ride and less headaches, If you want it that slammed go to air struts.
yeah, I would atleast put the bump stop back in and cut them to the specs the springs call for. But your best bet is to buy aftermarket struts that are meant to handle lowered cars.
I'm not sure how much you need to cut the bump stop, the spring install instructions should supply you with that info.
You want something that can handle your drop. On my Accord and my Civic I had/have Tokico blues. But neither of them had a huge drop. I don't remember what my Civic is but my Accord was only 1.25" drop. On my next Accord I plan to get something adjustable, maybe Koni, not sure yet.
