so thats def whats going out? should you redo both the rotors and brake pads at same time? is it easy to do yourself

Sounds like the metal tabs from the pads grinding against the rotors

 

so get just new pads or both pads and rotors?

It is recommended to resurface rotors everytime you change rotors. Depending on how old your old rotors are, I would change them accordingly.

 

I'd take it to a trusted local brake shop. One in my town resurfaces rotors for $10 a piece, and only charges $40/hr for labor, which most places around here do $50-60+/hr.

depending on how long and how bad that tab has been eating away at your rotor... you shave have a good ideal on if you should replace it or not just buy looking at it. there shouldn't be anything deep.

 

it just started yesterday sooo,,,i dunno how long you can do it before it gets bad..

 

If it's screeching, its bad.

 

gotcha,anyone know a goos place for good replacement rotors and pads,could i install??
