Default clutch?

A friend of mine was givin a honda 93 honda accord ex. He was told the clutch was bad. I went to put a clutch in it today but im not sure if the clutch is the problem.....Ok you can have the car running and with out using the clutch you can go through all 5 gears and the car doenst move. The pedal feel fine. If you put it in 1st and let the clutch out and it does nothing the engine doesnt even bog.
Does this sound like a bad clutch or something else

Before you take it all apart, check that the slave cylinder (on the front of the tranny) is even actuating the clutch lever. If that is not moving, check the clutch master cylinder for fluid. If that is low/empty, fill it and bleed the system until the slave cylinder actuates correctly and check for leaks. If that all works, then as you've already been told, the clutch is fried.

right. It would probably fall to the floor and stay there unless you pulled it back

If the clutch is OK but the driveaxle splines are gone, it would act the same way.

If the clutch is OK but the differential is torn up, it would act the same way.

etc...

Still, seems like the first step is taking the tranny out of the car to see what's going on.
