back in the day we've pushed it to 82.25mm with custom pistons, it ran great at tpyical 8-9k rpms ... would I do it again without sleeving ? no not really.

JG used to offer 83mm stock sleeve packages. They still may.

Its a risk. If you have an extra stock block you might try 82.5mm You would be better off to just get it sleeved in the first place and save yourself the trouble.
