First, many thanks goes out to my friend David for doing most of the installation part of the turbo kit. He was very meticulous, and the install was CLEAN. Everything fit PERFECTLY. Install took us 6.5 hours. If not for going to Lowes to find some screws for misc. things, we could have finished earlier. Also, thanks goes out to Chris Whitfield @ Whitfield Racing. He did an awesome job on the tuning. If anyone needs a tune, go to Chris.
Anyhow, here's my setup:
95 Integra RS B18B w/ 166K miles!!!!
Greddy TD05-18G turbo
Spearco FMIC
RC 310cc Injectors
HKS SSQV BOV
Tuned w/ Crome by Chris Whitfield http://www.whitfieldracing.com
Boosting at stock wastegate, only 6.9psi!!!
Manual boost controller
K&N filter
Golden Eagle Vac manifold
2.5" Stainless steel downpipe
2.5" Carsound high flow cat w/ flex pipe
2.25" DC Sports catback exhaust - damn bottleneck!
Stainless steel oil lines
Greddy sandwich adaptor
VDO boost and oil temp gauges, installed on dual gauge bezel
Blitz dual turbo timer/boost gauge
Got the car tuned yesterday at Whitfield racing in Upland, CA. If anyone wants to get their car tuned, go to Whitfield racing. Cost is only $150/hr for tuning with Crome, but Chris only needed one hour to tune my car. Times may vary but I saw a B20B w/ a T3/T4 getting tuned by Chris, and it only took Chris one hour to tune as well. His rates are very cheap compared to other tuners because it doesnt take long to hook up the car to the dyno, since he uses a Dynojet vs. a Dynapack. With a Dynojet, you also get WHP vs HP at the crank.
We did 5 or 6 runs total. First run was with his basemap, and his basemap was close to being perfect. For the first run, I got 187whp. For the final 4-5 runs, I got 196-197whp consistently, and torque peaking at 187 lbft. At the crank, taking into account a 15% loss, I'm around 226 hp. Not too bad with a Greddy Turbo kit, boosting at only 6.9psi. Chris said I could have been at 215whp at 8-8.5 psi but my goal was only 200whp, and I reached that quite easily, with boosting at such low levels. Even he was surprised at the fat torque curve and how strong my engine was with 166K miles. The car does not smoke and no oil leaks anywhere. My A/F ratio was at 12 consistently.
This is my first time owning a turbo car, and the experience of installing it, boosting and hearing that BOV going off for the first time, has been priceless. I'm content with my setup as far as power is concerned. Reliability is a huge factor for me, so I think with the power I'm pushing, the engine should last a long time. I completed my suspension a few months ago, so I'm done in that department. Next up is a paint job and replacing some of the speakers. Other than that, the car is pretty much complete!
Here's some pics of the install and with the car strapped to the dyno. Also, some pics of the dyno sheet that I have scanned.

me too, Ill be installing a greddy turbo kit, tuned with neptune on my gsr in a couple months. Its nice to see someone else who is experiencing owning a turbo car for the first time. I can't wait to hear the bov blow off for the first time.. It's a Greddy type S
.
Ill also be pushing a little more power than that, ill be cranking up the boost with the tune. Congrats!

Very nice.
I live in Cali and was wanting to do the greddy kit as well this summer sometime. Is your whole setup legal for California? I know Greddy is the only legal kit for Cali but I thought it was missing an intercooler and stuff. I'm pretty inexperienced with turbo stuff. =P

Yes, the greddy kit missing an intercooler. This guy has added a Spearco intercooler to his setup. At stock boost you don't absolutely have to have the intercooler, it's just recommended. Greddy also sells Intercooler kits you can buy in addition to their turbo kits.,

why does everyone buy greddy kits, they are overpriced and suck compared a kit you can piece together yourself, garrett t3/t4, dsm bov ahah, tial 38mm, jrc front mount, weld up the piping and it will save you a lot of money, be a hell of a lot better and more reliable, and actually give you some credit for not ordering a turbokit in a box and bolt that up in a few hours, try building one for 2 days in a garage and driveway welding it all up from scratch, more fun, more credit, more experience, stop following the rest of the world and hop off of greddy, hmt son

I bought mine used. Paid A LOT less than a brand new kit.
Why do people hate on Greddy turbo kits? In CA we have to deal with smog issues. Also, I can hit boost at 3500 rpms. If i'm on the freeway averaging 80mph, I'm at 3500 rpms. All I have to do is step on the gas at just partial throttle, and I'm off....FAST.
Greddy turbos have awesome throttle response, fast spooling, etc. I'm not into drag. I wanted a fat torque curve plus quick boost. The Greddy kit fit the bill.
If you dont have anything nice to say, get the f*ck out. Must be a HMT fan. Bunch of racist a*sholes. And who gives a sh*t about building your own turbo. I could care less if you built one or put a turbo kit. All the same sh*t. We're all looking to add hp. Doesn't matter which way you do it. If you wanna go really cheap, slap on a direct port NOS setup and call it a day. Idiot.
Explain to me how the setup you mentioned, will be more reliable than mine?

He said hes not using the blue box and is tuned on Crome, so how is that kit more reliable? He's got decent parts.

i agree with doing it yourself because for about the same as you paid for your Greddy kit, i pieced my own kit together and made 275whp...
I didnt mean to bash on your setup because its clean and its turboed!! The only problem is that you're going to want more and that setup isn't going to give you much more....

I've done enough research to know my limits. With a BONE STOCK LS MOTOR w/ 166K miles, how much higher would you boost? My limit was 8.5 psi to get 200whp. Well, I reached my goal with only 6.9psi. So I called it a day. I'm not greedy.
And FYI, there's been PLENTY of guys making anywhere from 3-350whp easily with this kit. I've seen a few even make 400whp. The turbo runs out at 400whp but its still possible to make power with an 18G.

Good to see a guy that doesn't push his limits too much.
I was just wondering about how the install went? I just wanna know what Im gettingmyself into. Was it pretty easy? how long did it take?
Thanks dude

The install went by fine. I would definitely recommend doing the turbo install with a friend although it can definitely be done by one person. Since mine was bought used (although MINT condition), all the piping for the FMIC and welding for the BOV, was already done. Also the 2.5" dp and 2.5" cat w/ flex pipe was done as well, so everything was a complete bolt on. Took us about 6.5" hours tops. Could have done it in less time but it does get tiring. We stretched it out to two days, with the majority of the work, done in one day.

mines used as well. I planned on doing it with a friend also, but I wanted to ask about how long it'd take because he thinks it would take a really long time, and I think it would only take 5 or so hours. I'm pretty well mechanically inclined, as is he, but I guess he's just notused to the ease of installing parts on hondas since he owns a mazdaspeed protege and everything is a bitch.

Ah I see. Well, if your kit is as complete as mine, then expect anywhere from 5-8 hours. We took our time and still finished within 6.5hrs. Definitely do it...it was a lot of fun.

Because he is in Cali and Greddy is the only smog legal one.

Eric the turbo looks great! u are putting down awsome numbers too!!!
as far as the greddy haters, all i can say different strokes for different folks... NOT everyone is looking for a 400 plus WHP beast.. frankly for a DD.... Eric has done his reasarch and knows whats up and that turbo kit is perfect for him..
All of the parts and the install was top of the mark i should know cause this was the kit that was on my car, and i had personally got a lot of custom things done for my kit to push the amount of power i wanted, and it delievered!
oh and if u haven't guessed i am the guy that installed it too with him
