Questions about purchasing an S2000
Hello guys,
I have a couple of questions for S2000 owners and I would appreciate any and all help that I would get.
I used to be on this forum a long time ago when I had my DelSol but it has been a while since then and now I am considering getting an S2000.
The thing is that when I sold my DelSol, I picked up a 2005 Subaru WRX and had that tuned to run stage 2 (~260 WHP). I like working on my cars and tuning them. Now my car was in a bad accident and it was totaled so I am in the market for a new car. I always loved the S2000 and now I can afford to get one.
My choices are basically the S2000 or the STI and I know all about the STI so I need information on the S2000.
For one thing is it possible to get some decent amount of power out of the engine without going into forced induction? Also I am under the assumption that parts will cost slightly south of an arm & a leg. It is a fun ride and all but I did feel like it was a little underpowered when I test drove it. In all honesty I did not want to beat on a new car that was not broken in, so I didn't really go beyond 5K RPM. So I don't think VTEC even kicked in.
Also I would like to know if there are any options that are worth it to get from the dealer.
Thank you all for your help.

It's not a ***** out horsepower car. A full motor build will barely get you 300whp, if that. Buy it for the driving experience and responsiveness. I've driven an STI as well, and it beats the S in all categories except driver enjoyment.
