stage 3 (sprung 6-puck) vs. stage 2 (carbon kevlar street disc) for daily driving?
I ordered a stage 2 xtd clutch kit, which comes with a sprung carbon kevlar disc. They sent me the stage 3 by mistake. It has a sprung 6-puck, which is the only difference between the two kits. I have a boosted LS, and planning on never running more than about 240 tq. Car is for daily driving and autocross. I've heard alot of good things about the xtd stage 3, but that has been mostly from people running boosted setups with around 300-350 hp. I'm considering keeping the stage 3, but I'm wondering what to expect with city driving, etc.
For people running kevlar discs, how much tq are you throwing at it?
For people running sprung 6-pucks, how is the daily city driving?

I ran the stage three for about a year on the street and it worked very very well i was really happy with the product its not hard at all for street driving hope you like it...
(same thing happend to me) stage II will not be enough, count your blessings
i have this clutch (stage III) and my friend has the stage II, the II feels stock, the III is super stiff for the first 500 miles then it breaks in really good and is not that stiff at all. if your boosted keep the stage III.
edit: the stage III is on a non daily, it could get kinda old on a daily but then again my daily is an AUTO
either way i still think you should keep it given the plans you have for your car. just remember its stiff and chatters hard at first but it goes away.

just put 6 puck in my car, never experienced one untill yesterday. at the very least it is something to get used to the whole motor tranny want to jump out of the engine bay if u dont give enough gas when pull off. if i could do it all over again i would of gotten the street disc for daily driving. iam gettig more used to it but it still sucks as far as daily driving and i only have 100miles on it, ihpe i gets better

Is that 6 puck sprung or unsprung?
I've decided to keep the stage 3. I think I'll be glad I did. I think its about the same as the Action 1MS kit, which is supposed to be good for up to 275 hp. That's still comfortably above my power goals.
How did you guys break your clutches in?
