Default getting a code 9

im getting a code 9 on my dohc zc. is that the sensor on the exhaust cam or is it in the distributor. i might have to replace it.

yes it is ur cam angle sensor (aka the sensor on ur exhaust cam) u have to run the wires to ur ecu... i forgot wich 2 wires it is on the ecu side but ill check my crx tom and get back to ya

code 9 is Cylinder Sensor which is the sensor on the exhaust camshaft - the Cylinder Sensor on the DOHC ZC rarely goes bad - the most likely causes for the code 9 are incorrect camshaft timing or a problem in the wiring

yes, unplug 2-pin connector and check for resistance between the two terminals on the sensor connector - should be 700-1000 ohms - also, with it disconnected, check to see if you have continuity between either of the terminals and ground - if so, sensor is bad

ok so i put the multimeter to use. when i check continuity on the sensor side i get a consistent 954 reading which i assume is right. when i check the side that goes to the ecu it stays at 1 is this right.
