Has anyone had problems with there temp gauge shooting past hot when you start the car.It can't be overheating after sitting all night long.The fans work and I just tested the t-stat and it works fine.Can someone tell where and what grounds to check?How do you test the ect sending unit?

Look into replacing coolant temp sending unit, or thermostat
