Default Steering Column / Ignition Woes (wont start after new column + sitting for 3 monthes)

My 2000 GS-R was recently broken into and the thieves broke the steering column from behind the wheel. I got a new column with a key and everything from the steering wheel down, and installed it today. I'm running an OBD2->1 harness and chipped OBD1 ECU without Immobilizer. The key that came with the steering column will turn to the ON (2) position, and everything appears to work fine, but the engine will not turn over. My old keys don't fit, or turn at all.

I've reset the ECU, tested my battery, and ensured that everything is plugged in correctly on the column. The fuel pump primes, and all the components on the steering wheel and inside the car work, but it will not turn over or even click. Is this an installation/key issue? Or something else like the starter? The car has been sitting for 3 monthes. Please help.

Check your fuses under the hood.

Nevermind. I plugged the old ignition switch back in and it fired right up. I don't know why I went through nearly every step of troubleshooting the starter system before trying that. Thanks anyway.
