Default 95lx rear speaker grills

How do I remove the grills to access my rear speakers in the window deck on my 95 accord? I was pulling on it and tried just popping it out from the top, but it looked like it may break so I layed off a bit. I would try from underneath, but I have to pull my sub box before I can do that ... so I figured I'd ask here first before I wasted time in case that is the wrong answer.

I believe 3x10mm nuts from below, remove speaker housing remove 4 Philips screws, [from underside of housing] to remove "grill" off housing, speaker is now accessible. 94

ok, so i finally did this .... got me a crappy 6 1/2" speaker under there and i want to replace it with 6x9s. It has a plate there with a hole for a 6 1/2", but the plate is just a bit larger than a 6x9 and has this black material outlining the shape of a 6x9.

Here's a picture:

Should I cut this out or is there an adapter plate I can buy to put a 6x9 in there?

Make your own "adapter plate" out of MDF, use the stock one as a template. so you can mount the adapter plate you make the same way the stock plate was mounted, cut 6x9 hole in your adapter plate.

My question would be why? You should be spending time and money on the front speakers, and if you are going to install anything in the rear install a set of mid-range/mid-bass drivers, [no tweeters]. 94
