higher compression pistons, higher duration and lift cams, variable valve timing and a better flowing head

just to name a few

Actually 28.75 of that 30hp is from the special titanium plated under-over roller bearings in the flux capacitor joint of the muffler's universal charcoal configurator .

Vtec does not have variable valve timming...
i-vtec does.

The GS-R makes more power by higher compression pistons, higher longer lifting cam profiles, larger intake diameter, larger freer flowing exhaust diamter, intake manifold is a 2 stage on GS-r and a piece on the LS. Gs-r also has 2 sets of cam lobes one for economy (Basically an LS profile) and one for power that kicks in at WOT @ 4400rpm.

The gs-r fuel/ignition curves are different, as well as the entire ECU.

A whole lot of technology basicly, and a whole lot of mechanical gains.

WOT @XXXX rpm isnt what causes vtec to engage.

Correct I was just stating when the power cam lobe usually switches over at WOT.

They use the same exhaust diameters...where'd you get that information from??? I wasn't aware their intake tube diameters differed either...Where is all this coming from??

was that a joke? because i could have sworn VTEC stood for variable valve timing and lift electronic control...

VTEC definition is: Variable timming electronic lift control. THANKS THOUGH...

Ls exhaust diameter = 1.91"
GS-R = 2.0"
Type R = 2.25"
PEACE!

Like I said he needs to do his homework. The timing isnt variable the valves are hence Variable valve Timing and Electronic lift Control.
