Default rear o2 sensor (97 ej8)?

i read some threads and i know the connector is on the chassis harness and is somewhere under the carpet in the car, but how exactly do i access the plug? i wanna try running an 02 simulator since im about to install a catless exhaust, and dont really wanna ruin the wiring by cutting off the sensor since its stuck in the stock exhaust....

any tips/tricks/insight?

thanks!

remove the blue rubber seal from under the car
physically pull the wiring out
disconnect the sensor
