its in the process of getting a 5K long block into it... shooting me into the low 12's on slicks daily driven full interior. i need an LS tranny to top the motor out though.. it sucks topping out at 150.

The only thing is im not that knowledgable of doing a motor swap cause i dont know if i need to buy a b20b longblock and bseries tranny then find a b series vtec head and hondata it?/ am i on the right track. Can i just get a b20 long block and start from tthere

i recommend a straight long block.. im kinda anti hybrid motors for the most part that the blocks and head were never meant to be. it wasnt blueprinted for it and therefore it wouldnt be as reliable as a complete factory blueprinted long block.
as for the comments on my car.. thanks :thumup: but to me the car is just another car. i know that many members on this board would feel more superior in some way if they owned a piece of machine as mine... but im still human and like the rest of you all.
what will be new for this upcoming season is a fresh new paint job in top secret gold with silver rnr's or maybe just a suprise. watch out !

the B16 lacks the torque but theres nothing but the rev of a b16.

does that mean buy an engine that is complete and was meant to be instead of so called red greening it together? Like b18b maybe and keep it non vtec. I just dont know what to buy on a cheap budget and cant find a b16 that isnt overrr 2000 cdn cause there so popular.

well if you are d-seires right now then you need a complete change over (mounts, axles, ecu, linakge etc.) and as far as reliability goes, its only as good as the job you do building it. do the job right and you wont have prbs, simple as that. dont let anyone try to tell you what THEY think when THEY haven't done it yet. there are doubters eveywhere.
well then i guess for pricing reasons if i need the complete change over ill go b16a2 cause i want hyudro trans. ill see what this engine looks like on weekend cause its 400 candian for engine + tranny and stuff. Well see

Yeah, though the car looks alright, it isn't worth the fiberglass for the kit. The guy is high. I'm not talking price. He needs to lay off the pipe if he wants that kind of cash.
