Looking for a Fit
Are they still that hard to come by? I call the dealership's every month in the Denver/Colorado Springs area and they still aren't really getting them in without getting on a list. WTF? I want a black manual pref. Sport. Did you guys just drive to the dealership and they had them, or did you have to order? Thanks.
yeah, I want a white sport with manual and I need to get on a 6 month list apparently. Its a great car and they will be hard to come by for at least a year.
^^That kinda pisses me off. They've been out for almost a year(March) and still they are this short on meeting demand. Boo to Honda for not making enough.
Yeah still hard to come buy, even harder to come by if you want a manual. I placed a order for a white sport fit manual in december and it should be here in march.
I actually have a Blue Automatic base model still unspoken for if you want to drive over to Nebraska. Should be here at the lot I work at next week.

Honda always produces just enough to keep demand up...that's why you dont see lots of unsold cars like you do at a Ford or GM dealership (ford has months of unsold cars in its national inventory). They've got a different business model in that respect.
This is just plain ridiculous though. They're actually pissing people off at this point, it would be better to wait a month or two and be guaranteed your car but that isn't even happening. They either underestimated demand or they've got some kind of idiotic plan in motion. I for one am looking at Civics now because I've had too much time to do research.
They may lose customers based on this, but htey may be banking on selling more Civics instead (draw the buyer in with the fit, leave with a civic). The civic has more profit in it, especially to the dealerships.

^^exactly. I'm considering the xB and the Yaris now because of this lack of supply.
ITR 00-0477-No thanks, black is preferred and manual is a must.

This may not bother you, but both of those cars have poor safety ratings. Just FYI

I knew the xB didn't have great crash ratings, but I thought the Yaris was up there in crashworthiness for small cars. Obviously, I could be wrong...
I don't know about the hatch, but on a scale of 1-5, the Yaris has all 3 4's and 2 3's. To compare, the xB has 3 4's and 1 3, and the Fit has 3 5's, a 4, and a 3.
