JDM front end for USDM front end?
hey guys, what ever happened to the guy that was gonna make the jdm front for usdm front end without any modification needed? i remember reading about it in early 2006. i searched both archived threads and recent threads and no luck. i would hella buy one if it was made out of urethane or the same plastic that the bumpers are made out of.
u can bolt it on but u will have about 2in gap between the inner corner of the front headlight and the bumper will sag downwards. u will need the jdm bumper support, jdm headlights with single filament bulb, and jdm hood, and fenders
no you dont people.
all you need for a JDM front end is :
JDM hood
JDM bumper
JDM lights
those are the basics.
you can use your stock radiator support, you just need to pull on it a little .you can dremel the holes that allow adjustment on the latch assembly (on the rad support) as to allow it to move back to match the latch on the hood.
hell, you can even do it using a usdm bumper
I did it on my crx while I was waiting for my EDM bumper to ship it. I was using jdm lights and hood , everything else was USDM. I just had to shave down on the bumper to accomodate the pointy ends on the inside of the headlights.

no..... i know what you need for the actual jdm front end conversion. i was talking about a replica bumper (like how wings west makes the mugen replica bumper for both usdm and jdm front ends) of the jdm bumper so that it bolts on to the usdm front end without any modification or any extra parts needed (kinda like putting a stock front end on a car). i thought the guy had a really good idea. i cant justify wasting 1500 for the front end (or whatever overpriced password jdm wants to charge). i know all about the headlight, hood gap thing and about using washers, or spacers to use the USDM radiator support, etc.
i am also using the usdm support. i have the hood headlights i just need a sir bumper for a crx and mine will be complete i just cant find 1.. and i have my crx front on a civic hatch
