Default pr3 ecu vs. ls/vtec

I am sure people run this set up, how did it work for you? Any leaning out issues? Thanks.

Your going to need to chip the pr3 with BRE and have it tuned or tune it yourself. A stock pr3 will run lean on that motor.

All the archived searcnes that turned up show people run in with great success.

I am new to obd0, i usually do obdI builds. Do i have to make any changes to the harness? I assume i have to add the vtec/knock wires at the ecu....Anyone have a link to a pinout.

I will post some pics later, this is my neighbors (49 yrs old) CRX Si....he wanted something good on gas, with some "pep", so we built this thing.

the ls block has no place for the knock sensor so you'll have to modify the block or "ground out" that wire so it doesnt throw a code...a knock sensor code will make the car run like absolute ****...but still add the vtec wire for 2nd o2 sensor, vtec pressure/ground and vtec solenoid..

crx_si-r the obd0 pw0 and pr3 are basically the same thing so theres no advantage running one or the other..
