I know it wasnt an option, but I'd suggest springing for the Ground Control Coilovers, I got this setup about a year and a half ago and i couldn't be more happy with the set up.

Personally I'd say that both of those are too soft. If you're getting nice top-of-the-line shocks like Koni Yellows that you can make really stiff, might as well get stiff springs to go with them to get good handling. And out of H&R Race or Eibach Pro Kit, I think H&R race springs are about equal in stiffness except a little softer in front and a little stiffer in the back, which will help a little to reduce understeer. I know these two choices are the ones you were asking about but just wanted to suggest to get a nice stiff spring.

H&R lower your car more. and a better setup would be groundcontrols and it comes with the eibach springs.

i would say go with the h&r springs they have at nice drop plus when you need to the responde very well under fast speeds. i had them on my DC matched up with some billstiens and loved them. with the h&r springs you get the preformance when you want it and the smooth ride every day

Yea, they don't necessarily have to be stiff. My brother has H&R race springs on Koni Yellows on his DC2 and when he had stock-size tires and wheels and set the shocks on the softest setting, it felt like stock, even with the stiffer springs. But then you can crank it up and have a nice-handling car too. Personally though, I leave my shocks on the stiffest setting all the time (Tokico Illuminas, set at 4 in front and 5 in rear). No point in having a nice suspension if you aren't going to use it, and it's not uncomfortable at all.

^^My thoughts exactly^^ Koni's don't have to be stiff/harsh. They can be run with stock springs for a stock-like ride on the softest setting, or they can be run with race springs and their high spring rates and keep the ride acceptible on the street. They can also be custom valved for practically any requirement. I ride on Neuspeed sports, and the ride is firmer than stock, but by no means harsh/stiff even when I run them on the firmest setting.

i would not recommend teh H&R race springs, a set was on my GSR when i bought it and i swapped them right away... the car was just WAY too low.

i've run H&R sports on another car and liked them. nice firmness without being overly harsh.

i've also run eibach pro's on several cars and been happy with them (thats whats on my gsr now).

i would recommend against the eibach sportlines, those again drop the car too much (IMO) and are not as performance based as they are looks based.

i've also had nice results from tanabe springs.

whatever brand you go with, make sure you are looking at their purpose and not just how much they lower the car.

I have the eibach sportline springs and kyb gr2 struts on my teg and its a subtle drop. I like the way it looks it has the nice agressive drop and amazing ride quality not stiff at all so im not bouncing around. i recommend the eibach sportline for sure

My brother's DC on H&R Race springs and Koni Yellows is not very low compared to a lot of the cars on H-T that I've seen, they still have about a finger or so in the rear and about flush in the front.
