Default head stud broke off 1/8" on tip?

I was installing my newly painted valvecover..

tightening all the screws
came to the left one and was tightenting the helmet nut thing, NOT TIGHT AT ALL and the nut broke off with part of the tip of the head stud still in it.

I was amazed and was like "wtf"?

so now i cant put a nut on there.

do i have to replace the whole head stud? is it hard?

That isn't a head stud--its a valve cover stud. You can get a replacement at Acura. It will require removing the valve cover--its pretty self explanatory once the valve cover is off.
