i have bought tein s techs ,kyb gr2 ,and new upper strut bearings wiht the strut mount kit this is on a 1997 honda civic how would i assemble all of these componetns on the struts

are these like muffler bearings? do you mean pillow ball upper mounts? anyway this is how you do it in order shock/bumpstop/dust cover/spring/washer/upper mount and bushing/washer nut, if its pillow ball then i dont know i would guess washer and a nut

 

some cars like the 2002+ civic have bearing in the pilow mount.. but not eg and ek..

Untrue. We can still equip our cars with pillow ball mounts (which is just a spherical bushing). What we cannot have is the camber-adjusting plates, because we use double-wishbone suspension, and not MacPhearson.

so if i dont have a bearing in the pillow mount what is it then? i think you meant to say "upper mount"

 

it is the part on top of the strust whith the bolts that go though the shock tower and the kit is jsut bushings spacers and washers i mean i have all the right parts i jsut dont know how to ssemble them all

dude relax, he never said it could not be done, he just said they dont come with them which is 100% true.

to the op, KYB's come with instructions that tell you how to and in what order to assemble the shock/strut, each shock/strut should come with instructions and warrenty info and other misc bits depending on model you may get a tool and some spacers and nuts. oh and a kyb sticker too

understandable, a lot of ej ek dc2 stuff come with urethane bushings with pillow as an option, ive heard you dont want pillow u-m on double wishbone suspension, im not sure why though, id really like to find out.
